Hello I'm Red and if you need help using Classifieds this is the place to learn. Classified Ads are a direct respose tool. It isn't there to give people a good feeling or remind them of your existence. It's there to do one thing-Get your prospect/customer to respond NOW! Two kinds of direct response Ads. Cash up front and two step lead generation. The biggest misatke you can make is assuming a tiny classified ad can effectively pull cash upfront orders. The two step ad is much more effective for long term profitability and even short term response. Two step ads are the kind that read, Send for more information, FREE details, write to, E-Mail, or go to http://www. etc. The actual sale is made after the person responds and is given a proposition through telemarketing, sales letter brochure, E-Mail or by visiting the site etc. The people who respond have qualified themselves. You know they at least have some interest in your product. TARGET THE EXACT MARKET YOU WANT TO REACH! Instead of spending a lot of money on a large exspensive display ad that reaches mony non-prospects, you focus by using an inexpensive classified ad under headings your prospects are likely to read. Once they respond focus your dollars and engery on an educational and persuasive selling package aimed at those people who have an intrest in your product. Remember anytime you ask for money up-front that represents a resistance point. If you charge up-front many valuable prospects may not contact you. Let me give you an example: If I was trying to build a database of clients, I would instruct them (in my classifieds) to call, write, E-Mail, or visit http://www. etc. for FREE information that emphasizes all the benefits of using my service. THAT MESSAGE SHOULD PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS! Guarantees, testimonials, headlines, specific facts and figures etc. The message would then ask them to leave their name, number, E-Mail etc. They would be offered the real valuable information in some sort of report that upsells them to you product. You now have a captive, interested prospect, so spend the time to educate them about the value of their service. By using the two-step approach you have accomplished three important objectives: 1. You have acquired the maximum number of leads at the least cost. 2. you have spent the necessary time to convert those leads into the maximum number of actual sales. 3. you have captured the name, address, E-Mail and even the Phone number in some cases of a qualified lead that you can rework for added profits. This should be the most efficient way to use Classsified Ads.
